1. Introduction and controller

Battle Forged Foundation provides Forge Forward Companion. This policy applies to the Android app package org.battleforgedfoundation.forgeforward.

2. Scope and app purpose

The app is an offline educational and organizational companion for practical transition, connection, communication, and purpose-building. It is not therapy, diagnosis, screening, medical care, substance-use treatment, case management, firearm or tactical training, provider matching, or emergency response.

3. Information you provide

You may choose to enter a daily intention, conversation purpose, selected values, a next action, general skill-translation text, checklist state, and short practical action billets.

Do not enter names, contact details, health information, crisis disclosures, service records, identity documents, financial data, passwords, confidential operational information, or other sensitive data.

4. Automatic collection

The app does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, precise or approximate location, Contacts, photos, audio, camera content, browsing history, or diagnostic profiles. It does not create an account and contains no advertising or tracking SDK.

5. How information is used

Local entries are used only to display the selected app feature, remember checklist state, prepare a user-requested snapshot, and provide erase controls. No local content is scored for health, diagnosis, risk, readiness, employment eligibility, benefits, or recovery.

6. Storage, retention and deletion

Optional app state is stored in the app’s private SharedPreferences area on the device. It remains until you delete an item, use Erase all app data, clear app storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. App backup and device-transfer participation are disabled in the manifest.

7. Sharing and disclosure

The app does not transmit or sell app data. If you intentionally choose email or Share, Android opens another app and shows the destination; that destination’s separate privacy practices apply. Nothing is sent automatically.

8. Permissions and device access

The release manifest requests no dangerous permissions and no Internet permission. The app does not request Contacts, location, camera, microphone, storage, phone, SMS, calendar, notification, advertising ID, health, or accessibility access.

9. Third-party services and links

The core app contains no WebView, social network, analytics, advertising, payment, authentication, or cloud-storage SDK. A user-requested mail or share intent is handled by an external app selected by the user. The website policy may link only to the app’s own informational sections.

10. Children and families

The app is designed for adults, including veterans, first responders, supportive family members, and community volunteers. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Guardians should supervise any shared use.

11. Security

Local-only design, private app storage, disabled backup, minimal dependencies, no network permission, and erase controls reduce exposure. No device is completely secure; users should protect device access and avoid sensitive entries.

12. International and state privacy rights

Because the app does not receive app data, access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, and deletion are ordinarily exercised directly through the in-app controls or Android settings. Privacy questions may be sent to the contact email. Applicable rights vary by location.

13. Health, professional and urgent-support disclaimer

Forge Forward Companion is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, monitor, or predict any medical or mental-health condition.

General grounding, communication, and support education is not individualized professional care. The app does not monitor safety or contact help. For professional needs, use an appropriately qualified local provider.

If anyone may be in immediate danger or unable to remain safe, stop using the app and contact the local emergency service for the person’s current location.

14. Changes, contact and effective date

Material changes will be reflected in an updated in-app and public policy with a new effective date.
